Join us on a fantastic journey into the mountains of Northern Vietnam where you will experience the vibrant textiles and diverse cultures of the minority groups of this spectacular and beautiful part of the world.   Vietnam's population includes a fascinating mix of 54 different minority groups. These groups remain relatively unknown to the western world and untouched by the modern world.  Men and women alike continue to wear the distinctive clothing of their particular ethnic group. Textile traditions and crafts that are centuries old remain culturally significant.

Meet the locals when you visit villages and markets including Red Dao, Flower and Black Hmong, Lu, Nung and Giay communities. Discover the diversity of their colourful costumes and dress.  Learn about their unique textiles, cultures, rituals, festivals and foods. Learn how the Red Dao create their unique embroidery pieces when you take a lesson from the ladies of the village.  Discover the secrets of hemp fabric and indigo dyes from the Black Hmong people
