Join this great new 8 night tour of the magical island of Bali.  Away from the hordes of tourists we will explore the ancient traditions of Balinese textiles and craft across this beautiful island.  Try your hand at something new when you take a traditional batik class, a silver jewellery making class, a traditional painting class and a cooking lesson. Capped at a maximum of 10 people this is a great opportunity to get away from it all as you relax and indulge your creative side.  We stay in boutique hotels in the mountain retreat of Ubud and the quiet Sanur beach and travel by private air-con transport.

_ DAYS 1- 3 Explore the markets and fabric centres of Denpasar - Visit the Bali Art Festival (Jun tour) or Free afternoon (Sept tour). Visit a Balinese temple and the Bali Museum before taking a hands-on silver jewellery making class on the way to Ubud.

DAYS 4  & 5
Take a seminar at the Threads of Life to learn about the textile traditions including natural dyes, batik and weaving styles of the island. we take a field trip with a local textile expert and explore the textile villages of eastern Bali including the village where double ikats are woven.

DAYS 6 & 7
take a beading class to learn from one of the young artisans of Ubud how they design and create beaded art pieces and try your hand at creating a traditional batik masterpiece.

DAYS 8 & 9 
There is an option cooking class today or you can have a free day to shop,              pamper yourself with a spa treatment or just relax.Your tour comes to an             end after breakfast on Day 9
