Humanitarian Project Support
There are many small humanitarian non-government-organisations (NGO’s) operating at the grass-roots level of communities throughout Asia. Whilst the big International Aid organisations and large NGO’s operate by sourcing corporate and Government funding and have a large media presence, there are many, many community humanitarian welfare projects which are run by local people for the benefit of local people. Most of these projects do not receive funding or recognition for the work they do. By highlighting the work down by these smaller organisation its hoped that it can assist in developing sustainable funding them.

Rice Prices DOUBLE The increase in world fuel prices along with the failing US Dollar has meant that many organisations are doing it tough. This coupled with a changing climate that is seeing rice crops fail around the world is creating a huge problem for millions of families around the world. Last month the World Food Program announced huge cuts to its food distribution to orphanages and aid centres in Cambodia. In recent times the price of a tonne of rice has doubled from $300 to around $650. If you would like to help the orphanages and aid centres in Cambodia why not have a “Tonne of Rice ” fundraiser in 2009 and raise funds for a fantastic gift to hundreds of families who don’t have enough to feed their families. Drop us an email and we’ll help you organise your event: ngrudgfield@mtatravel.com.au

Fundraising & Support Why not help out the organisations we support by rasing funds for them before you visit. You can directly make a difference to the lives of many by:
- Donating directly to these organisations via their websites; - Raising funds for supplies – such as food; clothing or medical supplies and purchasing these in country;or - Holding an awareness & fundraising presentation at your community group or workplace;
